Get your needles readyanother fabulous pattern has landed for Shetland Wool Week 2025! Designed by Rachel Hunter, member of The Shetland Guild of Spinners, Knitters, Weavers, and Dyers, the Aal Ower (All Over) Toorie is a love letter to Shetlands rich knitting heritage. Inspired by last autumns Allover exhibition at the Shetland Museum, this hat revives a striking 1930s Fair Isle pattern from the guild’s A Shetlanders Fair Isle Graph Book, giving it a fresh, modern twist. Its diamond grid design flows seamlessly, much like the Guild members who live aal ower Shetland, keeping these time-honored traditions alive. With instructions for both 8- and 5-color versions, this toorie is a perfect way to stitch a bit of history into your wardrobe!
